Gusto
As a Staff Product Designer for the Members Experience and Core Mobile Experience teams, I played a key role in shaping the team's vision through strategic design initiatives, brought structure to ambiguous problems with strong executional craft, and not only improving outcomes for customers-I helped shape the long-term direction of Gusto's mobile platform.
OVERVIEW
I delivered measurable product impact through thoughtful, accessible design execution as I conducted accessibility audits, design workshops, resolved key friction points, and partnered closely with mobile engineers to deliver a cohesive experience across iOS and Android.
This led to a 78% increase in admin onboarding engagement and a 12% lift in employee engagement-clear proof of the value I create through user-centered design and tight collaboration.
I also accelerated delivery and improved team velocity through collaboration and reliability. I consistently delivered high-quality, engineering-ready designs.
My peers across product and engineering described my communication as thoughtful, turnaround time as impressive, and my presence as one that elevates the quality of every project I touch. My ability to balance autonomy with partnership has made me a trusted member of the team.

FY26 Mobile Vision
The FY26 Mobile Vision-including the new mobile home and onboarding flows—helped the team advance Gusto's mobile-first narrative. These artifacts didn't just visualize an aspirational future; they helped align the Members Experience team, inform EPDD planning, and inspire broader mobile platform thinking across the org. My product team specifically credited me with enabling cross-functional clarity by turning vision into momentum-building outputs.
Mobile Design Update for the Employer Experience
We’re creating a home for every Gusto app on mobile by reimagining our navigation to support all Gusto apps. By investing in core capabilities and optimizing mobile flows, we’ll deepen engagement with current risers and grow our mobile-first audience.

AI Foundational Initiatives
We believe mobile will be a major tailwind for Gus adoption and vice versa. The FY26 goal is for Admins to handle 50% of their tasks on mobile though Gus. There is no other way to cram all our webapp navigation into the mobile UI → Tasks start through Gus. They can be resolved conversationally or hybrid. Camera, voice, and location only make Gus smarter and more delightful on mobile. The mobile app presents a perfect opportunity to imagine from a blank slate what a primarily conversational experience looks like.

Redesign Navigation on Mobile
I initiated the redesign of the mobile app's Information Architecture, with a clear goal to align on content and navigation structure based on customer & team feedback.
Conducted discovery that strategically reframed the problem, revealing that a long-term navigation solution was not as urgent as initially believed and required more foundational design thinking.
Articulated a clear rationale for shifting priorities, successfully influencing the team to focus on Memberization and unlocking the Expenses feature for more immediate customer impact.
Delivered designs that were scalable and aligned with our platform paradigms by identifying gaps in existing patterns and proposing a more feasible path forward.
